30/01/12  -   SSE Authorised Cable Jointers

We have vacancies for enthusiastic and experienced LV (live) cable jointers based in South of England.

The candidate must be motivated, prepared to travel, possess high standards of workmanship and health & safety.  You should 'ideally' be authorised or previously authorised by Scottish and Southern Energy, be first aid trained, NRSWA trained and hold a CSCS card. If you are not experienced on the SSE network, we can get you authorised if you joint to an extremely high standard.

The role includes all aspects of new installation cable jointing. (Ryefield installation, consac overlay, LV pillar installation/connections, house services and mains jointing etc) You should be confident with live LV mains jointing - phase-phase, linkboxes, backfeeding etc.

Extremely good rates of pay with the opportunity of overtime. Candidates will need to sit a strict CS authorisation & assessment prior to starting.

We have vacancies for enthusiastic and experienced HV cable jointers based in South of England to work on various contracts.

The candidate must be motivated, prepared to travel, possess high standards of workmanship and health & safety.  You should 'ideally' be authorised or previously authorised by Scottish and Southern Energy, be first aid trained, NRSWA trained and hold a CSCS card. 

The role includes all aspects of HV cable jointing, not only on to SSE standards/cable but also on UKPN standards/cable.

Extremely good rates of pay with the opportunity of overtime. Candidates will need to sit a strict CS authorisation & assessment prior to starting.
